Crowded teeth occur when there isn’t enough space for proper alignment, making it harder to brush and leading to plaque buildup.
Gaps between teeth
Gaps between teeth leave extra space where food can get stuck, causing gum tenderness and increasing the chance of gum disease.
Open bite
An open bite happens when the upper and lower teeth don’t touch, making it hard to chew or bite certain foods like apples.
Underbite
An underbite occurs when the lower teeth sit in front of upper, which can affect chewing, speaking, and cause teeth to wear down.
Overbite
An overbite happens when the upper teeth overlap the lower ones. A deep overbite can lead to jaw pain and excessive tooth wear.
Crossbite
A crossbite occurs when some upper teeth sit inside the lower, leading to uneven tooth wear, gum recession, or even bone loss.
Invisalign® process in 3 easy steps
Step 1
At your first Askew Dental Care visit, we’ll assess your smile and take photos and a 3D scan of your teeth. These images are sent to Invisalign® to design your custom aligners and show your expected results.
Step 2
When your aligners are ready, we’ll show you how to use them at our Shepherd’s Bush clinic. You’ll get multiple sets to start and quickly get used to wearing them.
Step 3
Wear aligners 20+ hours a day, switching weekly, with occasional check-ups. After treatment, retainers keep your teeth in place.
