Which teeth whitening options are available at Askew Dental in West London?
At Askew Dental Care, we offer two options for teeth whitening:
Enlighten Evolution
Enlighten Evolution teeth whitening – at home teeth whitening
Enlighten Evolution teeth whitening takes place in the comfort of your own home. Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth which will be used to create your bespoke set of teeth whitening trays. Your dentist will show you how to use them. You place a small amount of Enlighten teeth whitening gel in the trays and wear them overnight for the prescribed amount of time –usually 3 weeks.
Enlighten Evolution home teeth whitening treatment is the only teeth whitening system which guarantees a B1 shade of white. Once you have finished the treatment at home, you will return to Askew Dental Care in Shepherd’s Bush for a final follow up appointment with your dentist who will apply an extra-strength booster treatment which will further enhance your results.
Boutique teeth whitening
Boutique teeth whitening treatment enables you to whiten teeth in the comfort of your own home. After your consultation forteeth whitening, we will take impressions of your teeth,and these will be used to create your bespoke teeth whitening trays.
Once the whitening trays are ready, we will show you how to wear them and how to fill the trays with Boutique teeth whitening gel. You usually wear your customised trays with whitening gel overnight. The teeth whitening gel passes through the enamel on your teeth and breaks down the stains by chemical oxidation. Boutique teeth whitening is gentle for sensitive teeth, yet effective. You will notice changes to your teeth in just a few days and you will complete your treatment in about 4 weeks.
What is the process for Invisalign® in West London?
Invisalign clear plastic aligners fit over the top of your teeth and gently guides them into position. With no metal wires digging into your gums, teeth straightening is more gentle than conventional braces.
You change your aligners on a weekly basis to the next set in the series. This allows for the small, gradual movement in your teeth as they are being straightened.
Invisalign aligners are removable. You take them out to eat and to brush your teeth, but you must wear your aligners for a minimum of 20 hours a day for the straightening process to work.
Invisalign® process in 3 easy steps
Step 1
At your first consultation at Askew Dental Care, we will assess your teeth and gums and listen to what you would like to change about your smile. We will check that you are eligible for Invisalign®.
Next, we will take photos and 3D digital images of your teeth. The images will show how your teeth will move whilst they are being straightened, and they will show you how your teeth will look once Invisalign® treatment is finished.
The digital images are sent to Invisalign® and are used to create your bespoke aligners.
Step 2
When your Invisalign® aligners are ready, we will invite you back to the dental surgery in Shepherd’s Bush. We will show you how to wear your aligners and how to remove them. This takes a little bit of getting used to, but you will soon find it easy enough.
We will provide you with several sets of Invisalign® aligners to get you started.
Step 3
You wear the first set of aligners in your pack for a minimum of 20 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, to drink anything other than water and to brush your teeth. Change your aligners to the next set in the series after one week.
Continue in this way until you reach the last set of aligners in the series and your treatment is complete. Periodically, we will request that you come into see us so that we can check on your progress and ensure that treatment is continuing in the way that it should.
At the end of your Invisalign® treatment, we will offer you removable or permanent retainers. This ensures that your teeth remain in position and will not move in the future.
